Online survey for the research project: ‘Navigating complexity: Experiences of patients and healthcare professionals in the Austrian healthcare system’

The survey collects information about people's experiences with the Austrian healthcare system. The aim is to gain a comprehensive picture of the current living situation and to understand which aspects of dealing with health in everyday life and with the healthcare system are perceived as stressful or helpful. In the long term, these findings should contribute to the further development of support services and better alignment with the actual needs of healthy and sick people and their families.


We therefore ask you to answer a few questions in an online survey about your personal health behavior, your well-being, and your experiences with the healthcare system to date. Participation takes about 20-30 minutes. Please take the time to complete the questionnaire at your leisure and answer the questions as honestly as possible. If you find any of the questions uncomfortable, you can skip them.

Important: Only persons who are at least 18 years of age and either reside in Austria or have health insurance in Austria are eligible to participate in the study.

All data will, of course, be treated completely anonymously and confidentially.

Procedure

The study consists of two parts:

1. an online survey, which we use to collect the experiences of as many people as possible in the Austrian healthcare system, and

2. (optional) additionally personal conversations in the form of online interviews, which help us to record and understand the experiences of individuals in greater detail

If you would also like to support the second part of the study, please indicate this at the end of the survey. We will then contact you in the following weeks to arrange an appointment for an online interview.


Approval

The entire study was reviewed and approved for implementation by the Sigmund Freud University's Ethics Committee.
